dc.description.abstract | This work was conducted in the winter and spring of 1947-48 at the United States Naval Postgraduate School, Annapolis, Y~land. It was done to meet partial requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Aerology. The idea of the investigation was suggested by Dr. F. L. Martin of the staff of the Department of Aerological Engineering of the United States Naval Postgraduate School.
