dc.description.abstract | The Naval Air systems Command (NAVAIR) is seeking to improve its information resource management (IRM) through the use of information systems (IS) architectures. Although several attempts have been made, NAVAIR currently has no overall IS plan. Enterprise Architecture Planning (EAP) is a comprehensive planning methodology that allows organizations to rapidly adapt and survive in dynamic environments. The use of EAP and the tools and resources currently available will provide NAVAIR with a strategic advantage in an era of diminishing resources. This thesis presents NAVAIR with an analysis of methodologies and tools which will prove useful in the development of an overall information systems architecture. | en_US |
