Abstract
Vali Nasr, a leading specialist on Political Islam, Middle Eastern and Iranian Affairs, will deliver a talk about the current Iranian nuclear crisis, the threat it poses to the international community, and issues concerning establishing democracy in the Middle East. The Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York has written books about Islam and the Middle East, including Democracy in Iran, The Shia Revival: How Conflicts within Islam will Shape the Future, and The Islamic Leviathan: Islam and the Making of State Power. His articles have been widely published in scholarly periodicals and he has frequently contributed to the New York Times and the Washington Post. He has also been featured in interviews with CNN, BBC, PBS, National Public Radio, Public Radio International, News Hour with Jim Lehrer, CBS News and CBS 60 Minutes, and NBC Nightly News. Nasr holds a Ph.D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is currently a professor of national security affairs at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey.

Export search results

The export option will allow you to export the current search results of the entered query to a file. Different formats are available for download. To export the items, click on the button corresponding with the preferred download format.

A logged-in user can export up to 15000 items. If you're not logged in, you can export no more than 500 items.
