Information technology (IT) is crucial to the Navy's success. The Naval Postgraduate School must contribute to that success. One of my high priority goals for the School is to provide a model for the Navy in the use of information technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire organization. We have a long way to go to reach that goal, requiring us to manage some significant changes in the way we carry out our teaching, research, and administrative activities.
