At this Conference on Armored Warfare in World War II, Generalmajor a.D. F. W. von Mellenthin, a distinguished German battle tank force tactician, related some of his experiences as a General Staff Officer in the Russian campaign and responded to questions on his World War II experiences and their possible current application.
