| dc.description.abstract | This thesis reports the client server architecture choices (2- tier versus 3 tier) and details the supporting web server and database server choices. It then presents a prototype of a web-based database system to speed and simplify tracking of academic and personal information on naval officers attending graduate school in another country. The result will be better manpower data for naval headquarter with fewer errors at the lower cost. The difficulties implementing client server systems are discussed along with suggestions for better management of information technology. | en_US |
