Potentiometric and spectrophotometric studies have been made of the equilibria among several chloroammine complexes of Pd(II) in ammonium salt solutions at 25 and 30˚. For unit ionic strength at 25˚, equilibrium constants found potentiometrically for the substitution of one NH₃ by Clˉ are: in Pd(NH₃)₄²⁺, 6.1 X 10ˉ⁵; Pd(NH₃)₃CI⁺, 1.6 X 10ˉ⁴; Pd(NH₃)₂,CI₂, 1.9 X 10ˉ⁶. Aquation constants are, similarly: Pd(lNH₃)₃Cl⁺, 0.0010; Pd(NH₃)₂Cl₂, 0.0047. ΔH˚ for the substitution by Clˉ of each of the first two NH₃ molecules in Pd(NH₃)₄²⁺ is estimated as 10 kcal.

A statistical analysis of the deterrence and substitution effects of the military services' drug prevention programs Diddams, Richard L. (Monterey, California: Naval Postgraduate School, 1999-03);This thesis measures the deterrence and substitution effects of the military's drug testing program. Data used is from the 1995 and 1980 versions of the Department of Defense "Survey of Health Related Behaviors Among ...
The kinetics and mechanism for the substitution of biphenyloxide for chloride on hexaphenyldichlorotetraphosphonitrile. McCorry, John Hay (Monterey, California. U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, 1969-06);In this research a study of the kinetics and mechanism of the biphenyloxide substitution for chloride on the hexaphenyldichlorotetraphosphonitrile molecule was conducted. The reaction was studied in sealed, evacuated ...
Moose, Paul H.; Bassiouni, A-A. M. (Monterey, California. Naval Postgraduate School, 1987-10); NPS-62-88-004The method of successive substitution is shown applicable to solve for the classical minimum distortion quantizer parameters. The method is self converging and parameters can be calculated to any desired accuracy. The ...
