Abstract
The Navy's first wartime command at Hotel Del Monte was established in February 1943. Called the Del Monte Pre-Flight School, it graduated nearly 5,000 aviation cadets in 11 months before it was decommissioned in January 1944.
Description
The Naval Postgraduate School campus, once home of the world-renowned Hotel Del Monte, is one of the most historic sites in the American West. This set of short videos explains the hotel's significance and its transformation into today's NPS.
