Welcome to the Quarters on the grounds of the Naval Postgraduate School. Though these lovely houses are the homes of Navy families, during 1925-1943 they were part of the magnificent resort - Hotel Del Monte . At that time they were referred to as cottages. Some were used by guests of the hotel and others served as residences for the hotel staff.
A descriptive history of the nine "cottages" or "quarters" that were part of the Hotel Del Monte. The exterior, interior, architectural style, furnishings and the architects and designers involved in their creation, are discussed in detail.
