The object of this thesis is to find an exact solution
for the influence lines of the symmetrical fixed
end parabolic arch, and to study the variations of these
influence lines for arches of different spans and rises. It is also the object of this thesis to compare the
time required for the solution of the arch by the exact
method mentioned above and by the accepted approximate
methods.
