The recipient of the fifth Richard Hamming Award for Interdisciplinary Achievement is Dr. Paul N. Stockton, Associate Professor, Department of National Security Affairs. Dr. Stockton is the Associate Provost for Institutional Development and is the Director of the Center for Homeland Defense and Security. Dr. Stockton joined the faculty of NPS in 1990 as an Assistant Professor of National Security Affairs. From 1995-2000 he served as the Director of NPS’ Center for Civil-Military Relations. From 2000-2001, Dr. Stockton founded and served as the Acting Dean of NPS’ School of International Graduate Studies.
