Procedures to locate radio-noise sources, identify source hardware, and mitigate noise problems are provided where the sources are external to a receiving site. In addition, procedures to assess the impact of man-made radio noise on signal reception are included. These procedures were developed over three decades of radio-noise investigations at more than 45 radio-receiving sites.
