This thesis analyzes the requirements of Israel and the Palestinians in reaching a settlement of the Arab-Israeli conflict. The author covers previous attempts at settlement, the foundations of which were laid by United Nations Resolutions. The thesis also puts forth a new peace initiative which the author feels is the only hope left for the Palestinian people to regain a portion of their homeland.en_US
