Nanostructured and Multifunctional Materials for Energy Storage
Abstract
Goal: Novel synthetic pathways for electrode materials preparation; graphene, carbon nanofibers, core-shell metal-carbon
electrodes and metallic oxides among others. Special attention has been given to the characterization of the
nanomaterial structural features and their correlation with observed properties and reactivity.
Application projects include engineering thermally stable materials for batteries, supercapacitors and structural
components based on high energy density nanostructures.
